Why Choose Military Antiques of Sthlm Auctions?
Everyone are saying that they are the best and so on. We say, talk is cheap. We can offer a 0 % Buyers Premium, we take great photos, we have been in this buisness for more than 20 years, we have a large customer base for all kinds of items.
Are the Items Sold at our Auctions Authentic?
The short answer is: YES! We strive to sell only original militaria on our webiste and in our auctions. So we are vetting all items before we put them for sale in our auctions. If we would make a mistake, we will rectify it asap.
How Do I Consign?
As stated above Consignments are screened for quality and originality. If the item would not appear on our regular website, it will not be accepted for auction. More information on how to consign can be found in the Consign section.
Is there a Buyer's Premium?
No there isn´t. What you bid is what you pay, plus shipping and wire/credit card/Paypal fees. This not only benefits bidders, but also benefits consigners as well. The result is that hammer prices go up, making each sales lot more profitable to you - the consigner.
Is there a Seller's Premium?
Yes, we charge a 20% seller premium up to 5000 € per Consigner (one item or several items) over that amount we take only 15 %.
Are there Reserve Prices?
No. There are no reserves at our auctions.
Are My Consignments Protected against Loss, Damage and Theft?
Yes. We carry full insured from a swedish entrepreneur insurance, and we accept all responsibility for your artifacts until they are sold and you are paid, or until they are returned to you.
How can I Register?
To bid on our auctions you have to register, please click REGISTER and fill in your information. Once you haved registered, you will receive a confirmation email which you must reply to in order to complete your registration. Please be sure to check your spam folder in case your registration confirmation email is filtered and flagged as unwanted junk mail. When this is done you have an account at our auctionsite and you can use it in the future to log in and bid.
How does Bidding Work?
We use the same type of system that is used on other web-based auction sites such as Ebay. It is an automated system that will bid on your behalf, using your maximum bid as a stopping point. If another bidder places the same maximum bid or higher, we'll notify you so you can place another bid.
Are my bids secret?
Yes. While administrators can see who is bidding on an auction lot, the bid list is not public, and neither is your maximum bid. Furthermore, even the administrators cannot see your individual bid amount or your maximum bid. Only you know the amount of your bid.
How do I pay?
We accept Visa and Mastercard, Paypal and IBAN Bank Transfers. We do not accept cash. If you win a lot, we will contact you after the auction to arrange payment.
To keep things simple, the shipping cost has been determined in advance and insurance and packaging materials for all items are included in this amount. You can see the shipping cost for each item in each listing. The estimates are usually dead-on for the individual items, but once several items are combined, and the actual destination of the package is determined, there will usually be adjustments - downward. Any exceptionally large items, heavy items, or items that require special handling at the request of the buyer, (example: 6 heavy hardcover books and one wine glass going internationally) will have to be processed on an individual basis. Please keep this in mind when bidding. We're reasonable and will work with you if you have a large number of winning bids and the shipping cost starts adding up.
What about Returns?
If you receive an auction lot and you are not satisfied with it or unhappy for any reason, you may return it for a full refund, minus postage and fees. Unless otherwise agreed upon, returns must be post stamped within 10 days of receipt, but please let us know as soon as possible if you intend to return something.
How Long Does it take to get Paid?
Payments to the consignors will start approx 30 days after the auction has ended and that the buyers 10 days inspection period has passed.
